Foresight Friday: Embrace Your Inner Dolly & Tim

My Foresight Friday Interpretation: 

Hiya, friends. This past week was rough. The world lost two absolute legends on the same day: Dolly Parton and Tim Curry. (Tim's peeps heard about Dolly and made the choice to wait a day to announce his passing... just as they knew he'd wish 😭).

*sigh* OK,  let's see what the cards want to tell us. 

I made the switch to the Buffy tarot this week, in honor of Dolly.  Some of you may already know this, but if you don't, Dolly Parton was a producer for both the series and the movie that came before (uncredited). She was also supporting, and I believe planning to produce, the much anticipated Buffy reboot that Hulu unceremoniously yanked away from us. 

But, I digress...

I shuffled up the deck and the card that presented itself to us is: The Fool. 

Depicted on this card is Xander. It's a bright sunny day as he marches through the Sunnydale Cemetery without a care in the world. 

He's armed with everything he needs as he closes his eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his face. What he doesn't notice is that his shoe is untied, aaaaand he's about to step right into an open grave. 

So, what does this mean? It means it's time for us to strike out on a new adventure, with the confidence of someone who doesn't have the sense to be scared. lol

This card immediately brings Dolly & Tim to mind. Why? Because this is a card that is all about being an unapologetic free spirit. 

Allowing ourselves to be our free, authentic selves can be scary, but this card is here to remind us that the rewards will be will worth any risk.

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton lived their lives by following their dreams and letting their true selves shine through despite the wigs & makeup.

Did they encounter challenges and obstacles? Of course they did, but they kept on keeping on, and used those challenges as lessons. 

We need to do the same. 

Is there a new job or hobby we've been pondering? Someplace we'd like to visit? Someone we've been wanting to meet? An audition? Perhaps even the popping of a question??

Even if it's just deciding to go through life on our own terms, other's opinions be damned, now is the time for us to go for it. 

So let's embrace our inner Dolly & Tim, and see what kind of amazing things we can get up to. 

The thought of the possibilities makes me shiver with antici...
