Foresight Friday: Move Beyond the Shadow, and Into the Light

My Foresight Friday Interpretation: 

Hi, friends! I hope you all managed to chillax last week. I did pretty well, even took some time to catch up with one of my nephews and met his adorable new baby girl. 😊

Alrighty, let's see what the cards have to tell us this week...

The Wild Unknown Tarot continues to be my deck of choice, and after a bit of a shuffle, the card that presented itself to us is the 8 of Cups. 

Depicted on this card are 8 broken Cups sitting in the shadow of an enormous, dark, backlit mountain.

This card is representative of the fact that we have been THROUGH IT lately. We're feeling defeated, broken, and abandoned.

This card isn't here to shove it in our face, though. It's here to point something out. Y'see, we've been focused on the big, scary mountain for so long, that we forgot to notice the light that lies beyond it. 

The time has come to stop struggling with it and to move past it. 

The mounting represents things we thought we wanted. We've been fighting to "get back to the way things were" when, in truth, the way things were weren't working as well as we'd once thought. Not to mention that we're not the same people we were then. 

It's time to abandon the old ways and move onto something new... something brighter. 

We need to begin the journey around the mountain, so that we can move out of its shadow and find a new way forward, into the light. 

Think on that for the next couple of weeks as we head into a new year. Who knows? Perhaps, 2026 will turn out to be a source of light.

I'm taking the next 3 weeks off to get my holiday cheer on.
