Foresight Friday: Trust the Tried & True
Divination Method: The Pulp Tarot
Card Drawn: The King of Pentacles
Key Word: Successful, Grounded, Generous, Loyal, Dependable
My Foresight Friday Interpretation:
Hey there, friends! It's the last Foresight Friday of June... this year is zooming by me in the weirdest way.
I hope you've all survived the few days that we spent living in Satan's butt crack (holy frikken hotness, Batman!).
Now let's see what these cards have to say...
I'm sticking with my current obsession: The Pulp Tarot.
The card that presented itself to us is this week is the King of Pentacles.
Depicted on this card is a Silver Fox of a gentleman wearing a business suit.
He has a relaxed demeanor, with hands in pockets, as he leans up against the wall of what I'm assuming is the office or study in his posh home.
The walls are clad in wallpaper that has a repeating pattern with bunches of grapes. There are also two gold-framed paintings on the walls: one of a bull, the other of a castle.
This is a man who has made it. He has achieved all of his goals through hard work, determination, and much trial and error.
As a result, he has not only amassed great wealth and security, but wisdom.
He is generous with the fruits of his empire, and is always willing to help those who are in need. Don't think that this means he can be taken advantage of... he didn't get where he is by being a pushover.
What does this all mean for us?
It means that we've put in the work, we've taken our lumps, and we're now in a position to relax a bit.
This card is telling us that now isn't the time for crazy schemes, or for experimenting with new ways to get ahead. At present, this would be too risky.
Now is the time for sticking with what we know works. Those tried and true methods that may not be glamorous or exciting but are proven to reliably fulfill our needs.
It's also a good time to pay it forward. Don't be stingy with knowledge and resources.
An informed and supported community is always far more viable than one that is ill-informed and struggling.
A strong community can ride out any storm that comes its way.
Until Next Time, Pixilators!
