Foresight Friday: Prideful & Impatient is Not a Good Look

Card Drawn: Knight of Swords, Reversed 

Key Word: Restless, Impatient, Uncompromising 

My Foresight Friday Interpretation: 

Hey there, friends! Long time no see! Sorry for the hiatus, but a family member had surgery and there's been a lot of hospital time and juggling of things. This will continue for a bit longer than expected, but things are looking good and they should be home recovering soon. 

Anywho, I hope to be able to get back to somewhat of a routine with this... wish me luck!

We're back with the recently acquired The Lord of the Rings Tarot. After a very short shuffle, the card that has presented itself to us is the Knight of Swords in the reversed position. 

Depicted on this card is Boromir. He is the valiant and prideful eldest son of Denethor II, the Steward of Gondor.

If this card were upright we'd be looking to Boromir's Bravery, & Courage... the traits that kept him fighting to save Merry & Pippin despite being riddled with arrows. 

Reversed, this card tends to be more about his tendency to be prideful (and perhaps a bit arrogant) which leads him to act hastily and not think things through properly. This is the very thing that left him open to the pull of The Ring. 

So what does this mean for us? 

I'd say it's a sign to be cautious and mindful when carrying out our intentions in the coming week. 

This is not the time to act on impulse. We are feeling restless, but being impatient and refusing to compromise with those whose input and help we need will only result in things going kablooey. 

We must pay attention to details and be thoughtful of the possible effects of our actions.

If we can keep ourselves in check and trust the other members of our respective fellowships, we will have far greater odds of achieving our goals.
