My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

Hiya, Friends! I can't believe it's Friday already. This week just flew by, and even though I know I accomplished some things...it really doesn't feel like it. The weather turning a bit more towards the chilly side all I want to do is snuggle under the covers with a hot beverage and watch old movies.

Oh well, I guess I should get down to business...

Inspired by my continued Buffy/Angel Binge-a-thon, I decided to switch over to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tarot.

After a bit of a shuffle, the card that presented itself to us today is the 3 of Chalices in the reversed position.

The 3 of Chalices card from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tarot.

Depicted on the 3 of Chalices card are the OG Three Slay-keteers themselves: Buffy, Willow, and Xander. Each is holding a chalice overhead as they dance at The Bronze, fully immersed in some epic fun having.

Upright, this is a card of celebration, social gatherings, reunion, and general merriment. Reversed it's a bit of a different story.

Reversed, the 3 of Chalices involves, overindulging (in food, alcohol, socializing in general) and general imbalance. This can lead to tension within normally tight knit groups, sensory overload, and loss of focus.

Basically, this card is warning us that too much of a good thing is...well...bad. This coming week we'll be prone to overdoing things, but we're being strongly advised against it.

It may be tempting to drink, eat, and do ALL THE THINGS, but it will likely only lead to some unnecessary suffering if we do. Sometimes it's best to just take a break, even from the art of making merry.

This is a period in which things are just a bit off balance, and we just need to press pause. Take a break and spend some quality alone time feeling some peaceful feels, instead of giving into the Demon of Excess only to end up humiliating yourself or others and still wind up alone, except you'll have feelings of the Big Bad variety.

So, don't get distracted by all of the would-be merriment. Stay focused on your goals, and keep things low key. There will be plenty of fun to be had some other time.
