My Foresight Friday Interpretation: 

Welcome back, friends! I'm sorry I had to bail on y'all last week, but there was unexpected dental work that needed doing which meant switching my work schedule around a bit. The mouth is on the mend for now (more work to come periodically throughout the rest of the year...oh joy). 

So let's get to why you're all really here: today's reading.

After a bit of a shuffle, the card that presented itself to us is the 2 of Pentacles.

Depicted on the card is a large, heavily patterned butterfly up against an orderly...yet also very "busy" background of lines. The lower portion of each wing has a pentacle, and they are joined by a vibrantly colored infinity symbol.

So what does all of that mean? It means that change is upon us...as in it's just very recently taken place or it's currently happening. As the suit of pentacles generally refers to our possessions/finances, this likely means a change in our financial situations, our jobs, or even a change of residence. 

Changes can be a lot to handle, and some of us tend to resist it or to become discombobulated by it (why are you looking at me??? 👀). The key here is to realize that the hard part is over: meaning that the painful task of making the decisions/choices that have led us here, and following through with them, has brought us to this new adventure.

We're no longer the agonized pile of goo struggling to find our new form as we sit within our chrysalis. We are gorgeous, vibrant creatures who can flit wherever our hearts desire.

Whatever this change was, it was necessary, and dealing with it will be good practice for when the next one comes along.

Yes, I said "next one", deal with it. That infinity symbol wrapped around those 2 pentacles is representative of the unending nature of change. I also see this as something akin to the serpentine belt in one's car. If you're not aware: the serpentine belt is a single, continuous rubber belt in a vehicle's engine that provides power to several vital functions simultaneously (alternator, power steering, air conditioning, etc....). It keeps these components running in balance with one another whenever the vehicle is running. If this belt were to fail, things will not function properly. The conditions of the engine will be thrown out of balance and the engine will frequently overheat as it experiences a series of system failures.

Life's changes are the serpentine belt of The Universe. Change ensures that things keep progressing in a manner that ebbs and flows. Resisting this process is like sabotaging the belt and causing things in our life to go kablooey. 

We must let that Universal Serpentine Belt do its thing, and  meet these changes with grace and a sense of wonder. Doing so will ensure that we are present enough to maintain a proper balance and we'll prevent our personal engines from overheating.

So, take a little time to appreciate and admire what's happening. We're doing great, and should be really frikken proud of ourselves.
