Foresight Friday: Go with the Flow or Drown

Foresight Friday: Go with the Flow or Drown

Divination Method: Flower Magic Oracle

Card Drawn: Petunia

Key Word: Change

My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

Welcome back, Pixilators! I hope you were all able to reclaim your power last week. I struggled with that a bit, but yesterday I was able to shake off the shackles of emotional crud that was holding me back.

This week I broke out Rachel Patterson’s Flower Magic Oracle because I am missing flowers right now! Our tulips, daffodils, and lilacs are all done blooming. Our sage hasn't flowered quite yet, and I haven't had a chance to get to the garden center to pick up any annuals.

Anywhoooo, let’s see what the cards have to tell us...

The card that made itself known to us this week is Petunia.

Petunia's key word is "change", and I have to admit, I may have had a mini tantrum about it. (As a Cancer with ADHD I tend to be opposed to most changes that I don't initiate. lol)

The Petunia card from Rachel Patterson's Flower Magic Oracle.

Rachel’s Words of Wisdom, as I like to call them, in regards to this delicate bloom are as follows:

“Time has come to change your course,

to back yourself a different horse.

Don't fight now, embrace the new,

a different outlook, a different view.

Only look forward, don't look back,

changes will deliver what you lack.”

Let's face it, no matter how much we complain, there really is no escaping change. What we can do, however, is change our outlook about it.

Resisting change just makes it more difficult to deal with. We must go with the flow or else we will frikken drown.

If we find that we're feeling the urge to resist what's to come, working with the magic of Petunia - or even meditating on its qualities - might be just the thing to help us cope, as well as encourage changes we would enjoy.

Planting petunias in the garden attracts pollinators and other beneficial insects while also repelling hornworms, aphids and other insects that will be detrimental to our crops. Its magical mojo works in the same way.

<insert intrusive thought sung to the tune of The Facts of Life Theme here: 🎵 Attracts the good, repels the bad, the changes come and then ya have a better life - a better life! 🎵>

Rachel has a few suggestions for us. We can write a desired change, about ourselves or our situation, onto a slip of paper and wrapping it up in a flower head. Burn or bury the flower head to activate the spell.

If negative emotions are rearing their ugly heads, we can burn the petals to dispel them. Burning dark petals will not only keep negativity at bay, but will help to bring about positive changes.

So, suck it up, Petunia! Change is happening whether we like it or not. We have to accept it...even embrace it...or else it is going to dunk our heads under the water of life and drown our asses.

Alright, kids...I'm off to get me some petunias!!

Until Next Time, Pixilators
