Foresight Friday: Stay On Your Toes & Be Ready For Anything

Divination Method: The Wild Unknown Tarot

Card Drawn: 8 of Wands

Key Words: Sudden Movement, Change

My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

Hello again, everyone. It's time for more ramblings of what to expect for the week ahead.

First, however, I'd like to revisit last week's reading. I did the reading before the horrendous SCOTUS decision was released, and while I still stand by it, I do see it a bit differently.

A new day has indeed dawned, but not in the way I had hoped. A day of injustice is what has dawned. The skills to be developed and the work to be done are likely that of activism.

And now, let's see what the cards have to say this week...

The card that has presented itself to us this week is the 8 of Wands.

The depiction is on the card is 8 wands, arranged as if they're spokes of a wheel...or degrees of a compass, against a dark background. They are able to be seen only as a result of being illuminated by lightening that has struck one of the wands.

The 8 of Wands card from The Wild Unknown Tarot.

Examining the card further shows us that the bolt of lightning progresses through the colors Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green as it travels from the top of the card to the wand which it has struck.

What does all of this mean? Well, the lightening is a catalyst for some sort of action and/or change.

The wand that it strikes is us. The wands that are illuminated are our options.

I see the colors of the lightning bolt as the opportunity for change that are rooted in something we are passionate about which are then swiftly put into motion (red/orange). The success of these actions relies greatly on communicating clearly (yellow), as well as staying grounded (green).

One might say that the 8 of wands is the Minor Arcana's version of The Tower. It certainly involves change, and things happening suddenly.

The difference here, in my opinion, is that this feels more like a situation that we can actually have a hand in how things turn out - if we pay attention to our circumstances and are prepared to act on a moments notice.

The Tower is more "Brace yourself, the shit is hitting the fan, and all you can do is wait until the dust settles before deciding what comes next."

With the 8 of Wands, once the lightning strikes - whether it be by way of news, a sudden change, or a moment of clarity about a situation - we must keep our wits about us, and be prepared to move in any direction at any moment.

I feel like if we're paying attention, we'll know what moves to make when the time comes. We just have to remember to not hesitate or we may find we've missed important opportunities.

Revisiting the colors within the lightning bolt, we have 3 prominant colors that represent the directions/elements (Red: South/Fire, Yellow: East/Air, Green: North/Earth) and one that is a blending of 2 (Orange)...important insight is gained by noticing the one that is least present (Blue: West/Water).

West is the direction that corresponds with Water. It is the realm of emotions, dreams, spirituality, and intuition.

What am I getting at here? We have to make our quick moves based on facts and other information presented to us. This is not a week to be governed by our emotions & intuition. Sure, they will play some part in this, but it is our heads - not our hearts - on which we must rely at present.

Be ready for anything, guys...whatever comes next is likely to be a doozy...brace yourselves, and and be ready to act.

Until Next Time, Pixilators!

Wishing You Peace, Love, & Pixie Dust
