Foresight Friday: Cower in Fear? Not This Day.

Divination Method: The Wild Unknown Tarot

Card Drawn: 8 of Swords

Key Words: Afraid, Powerless, Trapped

My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

It’s been a hectic week for me, friends, so I’m just going to grab The Wild Unknown Tarot and cut to the chase.

The eight of swords has presented itself to us today. Someone else might see that and think “Oh, shit!” but not me. I see this as an eye opener, and an opportunity.

Depicted on this card is a vibrant butterfly that has emerged from its chrysalis...but has yet to fly away. Instead, it remains suspended from one sword, while it is surrounded by seven others.

Perhaps this beautiful creature is hearing Whoopi Goldberg in its brain saying “Monarch, you in danger girl!” or some other equally ominous warning.

This card portrays feelings of being trapped, frightened, and powerless.

How does this pertain to us? Well, it seems a whole mess of us are feeling like we’re surrounded by those that would do us harm.

The 8 of Swords card from The Wild Unknown Tarot.

We are feeling like others are out to get us.... just waiting for us to show ourselves before they strike.

We’re in the midst of unfamiliar territory and a whole lot of things feel immensely threatening.

Like Dorothy suddenly arriving in Oz, not quite sure how to get home.

I’m going to clue you in on something that the supposedly “Good Witch” didn’t let Dorothy know until the end of the story: WE ALREADY HAVE the power to escape this seemingly terrifying situation.

All we (and the pictured butterfly) have to do is unfurl our wings and fly beyond the reach of these floating swords. Swords that literally have nobody there to wield them.

Let’s not forget that the butterfly is actually hanging from a sword. This sword represents OUR power, and we must wake up, uncover our eyes and reclaim it.

No need to go through any arduous tasks to prove to ourselves that we aren’t weak and/or helpless. We already KNOW IT... we just let our fears get the jump on us when we were occupied with other matters.

A day may come when it is wise to hunker down and hide away from the world; but it is not this day.

A day may come when we are helpless to stand against our foe; but it is NOT this day.

And, a day may yet come when we do not have the strength to walk away from those that would oppress us; BUT IT IS NOT THIS DAY!

Let’s grab our proverbial swords and raise them high above our heads as we let out a battle cry – not for Frodo...but FOR US!

Until Next Time, Pixilators!

Wishing You Peace, Love, & Pixie Dust

    1. Thanks! My brain is like a Club 54 of pop culture references, and they're how I generally receive messages. I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets a kick out of them! lol
