My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

I hope everyone was able to get through the bumps of last week relatively unscathed. It was a little rough here and there, but the nicer weather here in NY has been a bright spot for me.

If the previous week was tough, the next one should be a bit gentler. Why’s that? Ya gotta keep reading to find out. 😉

I snatched up my Secret Language of Animals oracle deck, because it seemed to be screaming at me from my little rack full of decks that’s on my desk. The card that revealed itself was Wood.

The Wood card is all about Growth, Renewal, Connections, and Support. It may seem odd to think about growth and renewal when we’re heading into a time when most things in nature are going dormant, but if we think about Wood in nature, it really makes a lot of sense.

Most trees are dropping their leaves right now and preparing for their annual period of dormancy. What most people don’t realize though, is that in this period of dormancy, growth is still taking place.

The Wood Card from the Secret Language of Animals Oracle

This is the time when trees grow beneath the surface, expanding their root systems so that they can better provide support and sustenance to all the magnificence that stretches from the Earth towards the sky. Not only that, but some trees, like the Oak, also reach out with the growth of their roots to purposefully intertwine with the roots of other trees.

They do this to provide extra support to one another. It would seem that even trees know that they’re stronger together.

And that is what we need to do, folks! It’s time to work on facilitating growth in our own root systems.

This would equate to spiritual growth, so that we may feed and support ourselves as well as those around us. Focusing on things that feed our souls is important this week. Whether that’s family time, expressing ourselves creatively, supporting loved ones, and/or spending time communing with nature (perhaps even some trees) is the way to go.

Remembering to take some time to rest so we can prepare for future growth, while being mindful of other’s needs, so that we can sustain each other throughout this week and the coming winter months, will enable us to grow stronger both individually and societally.

So, go get to chilling and rooting yourselves in all the things that make you feel loved, supported and fulfilled. I’ll catch you on the flip side.

Until Next Time, Pixilators
