Foresight Friday: What Lurks Beneath the Surface of the Coming Week? The Shadow Knows.

Divination Method: The Wild Unknown Tarot

Card(s) Drawn: The High Priestess

Key Word(s): Mystery, Psychic Wisdom

My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

It seems to me we’ve been called on to engage in a lot of observation lately. The cards have told us to look within ourselves, to seek out new things, and to take a gander at the big picture.

This week is yet another side of the Observation die (can’t be a coin…we’ve gone past 2 iterations of being lookey-loos lol). Let’s get to it…

I’m using The Wild Unknown Tarot this week because my Bestest Friend in All the Land will be in town this weekend, and he’s the one who gave it to me (seemed appropriate).

I started shuffling the cards and The High Priestess just flipped herself over, face up on the top of the deck. I guess she wanted to make sure I didn’t miss her, lol.

The High Priestess is a poised, strong, and wise Tigress with a very keen eye and even keener instincts. She sits quietly as she surveys the scene before her, taking in every detail.

The High Priestess card from The Wild Unknown Tarot.

She takes note, not only of what is happening before her out in the open, but of the whispers she hears on the wind, the subtlety and nuance of tone and body language, as well as what stirs in the shadows.

If it’s going on, she knows about it whether it’s consciously being shown to her or not.

What does her appearance in our reading mean for us? It means it’s time for us to look beyond the obvious to see what truth lies beneath the surface.

We need to listen to our own inner voice - which may mean just shutting up and unplugging for a bit so that we can actually hear it.

It also means we must acknowledge the shadows.

Don’t freak out. Shadows don’t always mean scary things. Think about it, that nice cool patch of shade beneath a tree is merely its shadow providing us with a wonderful respite from the hot summer sun. Shadows within ourselves can also be quiet places in which to reflect…we just have to remember to take note of what we discover there.

It’s a great week for divination, meditation, or just being observant enough to see the truth of a situation.

Welp, that’s all I’ve got for now. I’m off to have some raucous (yet safe) fun involving some fantastic (and fully vaccinated) friends and copious amounts of wine.

Until Next Time, Pixilators
