My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

Yule is fast approaching, and that has most of our minds turning towards traditions, family, gifts, cocoa, and all manner of things that bring us comfort and joy. The week ahead, however, looks like we’re meant to step - at least a little bit - outside our comfort zone.

The Knight of Wands is known to be restless, fearless, and thrives on stimulation and risk; but he is also generous, charming, witty, and warm. He is the friend whom always tells it like it is, and pushes us to try new things.

His appearance suggests a time of action, new experiences, and a call for us to push
ourselves to be brave enough to try our hand at that thing that’s been dwelling in the back of our minds.

We must embrace the changeable and creative nature of the element of fire, yet be mindful of its volatility and not allow tempers to flare.

The Knight of Wands is the very essence of Adventure and is not one to let grass grow under his feet. He has quite a lot in common with Bilbo Baggins, actually. Well, Bilbo after he left the safety of The Shire and had his first taste of adventure. In venturing out into the great wide world, Bilbo learned a great deal about himself. He found he was quick witted, an outside of the box problem solver, and really quite brave.

So, this week we must find our inner Bilbo and seek out Adventure. It doesn’t have to be as big as going with the dwarves to reclaim the Lonely Mountain by defeating a dragon…just trying something, exciting, and/or creative will fit the bill. If there’s something that has been popping into our minds that we know we want to (or should) do, or if an impish friend should suggest something that makes us feel a tad apprehensive, then that’s what we should do. (Unless, of course they’re completely bonkers and want you to do something that’s definitely unsafe…then, I mean, don’t be frikken stupid.)
