Foresight Friday: This Week's Focus is on Healing, Sensitivity, and Power

Divination Method: The Goddess Guidance Oracle

Card(s) Drawn: Ixchel | White Tara | Sekhmet

Key Word(s): Medicine Woman | Sensitivity | Be Strong

My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

I have to admit, I’m feeling drained, and am fighting a migraine today, so I’m not super thrilled that I pulled three cards today. BUT, divination is one of the few instances in which I just shut up and do what I’m told. So, please bear with me if I seem a little “off”.

I’m feeling like the cards’ messages proceed as follows: The first card is dealing with the very recent past and is overflowing into the now. The second card is the how we’re currently feeling, and the third card is what we need to focus on in the near future (like…the next week or so…because, well, that’s the time frame this reading is for, lol).

Alright, let’s dive into this bad boy, shall we?

Our first card is Ixchel. She is the Mayan Goddess of the Moon, and is known as a powerful healer with a strong association to water, and she can help us to connect with our innate ability to be spiritual healers. Why has she appeared today? To let us know that the healing process has begun…but, also to remind us that we are powerful healers, and that we are fully capable of continuing the process of healing.

Perhaps some time by the water is in order…

Her message to us is “You are a channel for Divine healing power.”

Our second card is White Tara. She is one of the many female aspects of the Buddha and is representative of the Mother Creator. Like any good mother, she knows what’s going on with us better than we do ourselves.

We should expect to feel a bit sensitive this week. Avoiding crowds and be wary of those spewing negativity… Take a break from the news for a bit because, really, who the hell has time for that kind of bullshit right now? Lol

We’ve been doing all the things to nurture our inner and higher selves, and it looks as though we’re on the right track. We’ve cleared out lots of things that no longer serve us, those things that stood in the way of our connection with The Universe and The Divine. Those pathways are open now, and thus, we are more aware and sensitive to the energies that surround us. Taking the current Mars Retrograde into account, taking time to internalize and process a situation before reacting upon it would be a wise idea. Now is not the time to make rash decisions, listen to Mama White Tara and chill.

Her message to us is “You are becoming increasingly sensitive. Avoid harsh relationships, environments, situations, and chemicals.”

That brings us to our third and final card of the day, Sekhmet. She is the Egyptian Sun Goddess, and her name literally means “strong & mighty”. Popping up in this last position tells me that we are not to regard the sensitivity and reserve that comes with the second card as a weakness. We are not victims; we are strong and capable of achieving great things.

We are charged with feeling the feelings, being authentic, and recognizing ourselves for the powerful Badasses we are. We should not underestimate ourselves, nor should we give in to outside pressures and/or temptations that don’t serve our interests. Now is not the time for complaining or playing the blame game either. By focusing on our needs, being positive, and not all the outside “noise of the world” we can attract the success we’ve been looking for.

Sekhmet’s message to us is “You are stronger than you think you are, and your strength insures a happy outcome.”

So we’ve got ourselves a Mother Creation Goddess flanked by a Moon Goddess, and a Sun Goddess. I can’t help but feel that this is going to be a week that lends us the opportunity to create some much needed balance in our lives. We need to stay tuned into our emotions and intuition - without allowing ourselves to be overwhelmed by them - as well as recognizing and celebrating our personal power - while avoiding unnecessary confrontations. Easy peasy, right?

Before I sign off, I’ll leave you with a piece that I found by Poet/Author Anita Krizzan:

“The same Love

That created the stars - created you.

When you look at yourself in the mirror -

Smile at the sun and the moon in you.

Feel the oceans and the roaring of lions -

For you are one with the whole

And all there is

Is inside you.”

Until Next Time, Pixilators!

Wishing You Peace, Love, & Pixie Dust
