My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

I don’t know about you, but I am continually blown away by this little thing called Divination. The synchronicities that constantly pop up in my readings never cease to amaze me. I can’t really say I’m surprised exactly, I mean…I’ve been doing this for a while now, but it never fails to fill me with wonder. This week’s reading is no exception.

This coming week is the Autumnal Equinox - Mabon, to many witchy peeps - a time of Balance, Harmony, Abundance, Community, & Gratitude. Therefore, it is incredibly fitting that Gaia has presented Herself to us on this crisp Foresight Friday morning.

Mama Nature is in the house, y’all!  She’s bringing us gifts of abundance, unconditional love, celebration, and plenty of reminders.

Gaia Card from the Secret Language of Animals Oracle Cards
Some of us have been feeling a bit lost, out of sorts, and/or generally overwhelmed. Gaia is here to remind us that we are loved, and that everything we need to succeed can be found both without (out in Nature, The World, The Universe) and within (Ourselves).

I feel like we’ve been asleep lately - on a spiritual level - but, now is the time for us to wake up and pay attention. It’s time to open our eyes to the signs that are all around us. It’s not that they haven’t been presented to us; we’ve simply not been looking properly.

What stands out to us during our daily lives? The warmth of the sun coming through a window? The grace of a hawk soaring up above? A feather discovered in our path? The rush and ease with which the water flows down a nearby stream?

What about these things is appealing? Are there characteristics of these things that we exhibit…or wish to? Perhaps it’s simply that the beauty and majesty of the Natural World has awakened something within us?

Gaia is thrilled that our eyes are opening once more! She does not come to scold us for ignoring the signs - as all things happen in their own time - and we’ve likely learned a lesson or two along the way.

This is a time to celebrate that which is good and beautiful in ourselves and the world around us. It can be tough, because - as we’re all thoroughly aware - this year has been doling out the crap sandwiches one right after another. This week is the time to - at least partially - set those turd sammies to the side and express our gratitude for the good things life has served up.

Nothing is too small to celebrate. A good meal, a sunny afternoon, a good hair day, a funny meme, cuddles with a furry friend, good wine or whiskey, a dear friend’s accomplishments; all are worthy of celebrating, and y’know what? The more things we celebrate, the better we’ll feel.

By taking some time to commune and revel in the simple, yet complex, wonders of Gaia…we will also discover the ones that reside at our very core.

One last little bit of wisdom before I go…it’s something that my own mother used to say (So often, that she even used it as a slogan for her business).

“Never stop learning.
Never stop opening your mind to everything the Universe has to offer.
Never say Never.”
