Wishing You a Blessed Seed Moon

Blessed Seed Moon

The day of the March full moon is here, and today it brought sunshine and temps in the low 60's!! (At least here in Western NY) This has put me in a pretty decent mood, and has gotten me excited that Spring really is coming very soon!

The time for planting seeds is here for this year's gardens. Not only the ones in our yards, but those in our spirits as well. Try taking some time in quiet reflection, letting your intentions marinate in the knowledge that your spirit is like a seed: Full of Patience, Power, and Possibility.

I often find myself honoring an Esbat by ruminating on some poetry, and this month is no exception. So, for this Seed Moon, I'm going to share something by Robert Frost (Don't be surprised if he pops up again in the future; he's one of my favorite poets).

Putting in the Seed By Robert Frost

You come to fetch me from my work to-night
When supper's on the table, and we'll see
If I can leave off burying the white
Soft petals fallen from the apple tree.
(Soft petals, yes, but not so barren quite,
Mingled with these, smooth bean and wrinkled pea;)
And go along with you ere you lose sight
Of what you came for and become like me,
Slave to a springtime passion for the earth.
How Love burns through the Putting in the Seed
On through the watching for that early birth
When, just as the soil tarnishes with weed,
The sturdy seedling with arched body comes
Shouldering its way and shedding the earth crumbs.

Until Next Time, Darlings!
Wishing you Peace, Love & Pixie Dust
