Foresight Friday: Sailing a Ship Called Creativity

Divination Method: The Wild Unknown Tarot

Card(s) Drawn: Daughter of Cups

Key Word(s): Creative, Emotional

My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

I hope you all survived your time in The Void last week, without too much screaming. Perhaps you’ve even discovered at least a little something that will be useful to you on your journey.

This week, our card comes from The Wild Unknown Tarot; and I can’t help but think that the name of the deck itself factors into our message.

The Daughter of Cups has presented herself to us today. She is gentle, artistic, and prone to romantic notions.

While her creative energies cannot be denied, neither can the often untethered nature of her emotions.

Her emotional unpredictability means she has a tendency to be swept away by them. Finding joy and inspiration in the beauty and splendor of all that surrounds her is wonderful; but the flip side of that is being utterly crushed and dejected when something not-so-wonderful happens.

These are the very things we must be aware of in the week to come. In order to not let our emotions get out of hand - one way or the other - is to find a way to ground ourselves.

Letting these emotions turn our lives upside down, would be to give in to the sometimes frightening side of having things be both wild and unknown.

Finding a way to constructively channel them into creative works or to fuel our brains towards a creative solution to a problem is the ideal plan for the coming week.

The fun way to think about it, is that we’re sailing a ship called Creativity on the Emotion Ocean (didn’t mean for that to rhyme, but it made me giggle, so it stays.).

If we find ourselves adrift, maybe we should drop anchor for a bit until we get our bearings; and if we’re trying to navigate rough emotional seas, then we must call for reinforcements. (There’s no shame in calling on our own “emotional coast guard” to drag us into a life raft.)

So what does it all boil down to? Whatever emotions we experience in the week to come (happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, despair, etc.) we should try channeling them into a creative or expressive project of some kind, even if it’s just a journal entry or a letter/email to a trusted someone.

Until Next Time, Pixilators

Wishing You Peace, Love, & Pixie Dust
